We email the invite, from your name, to everyone on the list with an email address. Anyone with only a mobile number gets their link from you.
The email comes from you via SimpleInvite. It has the event, a See the invite button, and links to decline or to stop emails about the event. Guests answer on the invite page, or by replying to the email.
An email you send by pressing a button goes at once, whatever the hour. When your event page says an invite was sent, it was sent; we never count someone as invited while their invite is still in your hands.
For guests with no email address, your event page has one line that counts them, and a way to send them the link from your own phone: see Guests with no email address.
If an email bounces, the guest's row reads couldn't reach. When an invite doesn't arrive says what to do.
Texts from our own number wait on approval from the mobile carriers, which takes weeks we cannot hurry. Until then we do not text anyone for you.
