SimpleInvite and Luma
SimpleInvite is for private invites to people you know: each guest answers with one tap, and the ones who haven't answered are nudged for you. Luma is the better pick for public events, tickets and a calendar of meetups.
Which one to pick
Pick SimpleInvite if
- You know everyone you're inviting. Each guest gets their own link, so they tap Yes and they're counted. A Luma guest registers with a name and an email address.
- You'd rather not chase people.Everyone still pending gets a nudge on its own a few days after you send. Luma's automatic reminders go to registered guests; for the rest, you write to them yourself.
- It should look like an invitation.Eight looks made for invites, from formal to a drawn map of how to find you, with your own photo.
Pick Luma if
- The event is public.A Luma event page takes registrations from anyone with the link, and you can approve each one before they're in.
- You sell tickets or check people in.Luma has ticket types, coupons and check-in at the door. SimpleInvite has neither.
- It's big, and it has to be free.Luma's free plan has no guest limit on an event and sends 500 invites a week. We stop at 150 guests, and charge past 30.
